HAND UP, NOT A HANDOUT The new Mandela Park Mosaics is a mosaic & silicone workshop and training project based in Khayelitsha. Mandela Park Mosaics is a community upliftment project aimed at skills development and job creation. It aims to empower a team of individuals from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds through training and mentoring, ultimately allowing them to provide for themselves & their families. Mandela Park Mosaics started in Mandela Park (Imizamo Yethu Township) in Hout Bay, Cape Town & is currently based in Khayelitsha. I was asked to design a brochure that showcased the amazing Mosaic and Ntofo Art. The concept focused on the tools needed to create Mosaics and Ntofo Art, while the look and feel were inspired by Africa art and earthly colours and lots of energy.
